June.22,2022

It is so so crazy to me to think we are already have way done this year. It is totally bananas. Probably because we've had such a long and cold spring, it feels like it should be beginning of May and warming up a lot. Nevertheless, it is not, so we will just enjoy the das we have this summer.

Yesterday was a fantastic day. I worked till noon doing property management and Optavia. Honestly, the morning was mostly screen time for the kids, but that is okay. Kasen went to his friend Deirdre's house at 2, and Leah played outside with Kaya and Grace and Chiara for the afternoon. I got a lot of things done and got an amazing new marinade made and we had chicken over the bbq and veggies. It was a really nice dinner, and it's always nice when I have something actually made and prepared and we aren't just flying by the seat of our pants.

This Friday we have an Airbnb guest coming for one night. It works out well actually, because we will just camp at the property and on Friday night we have our ward BBQ, so we will just hang out at the bbq most the night, not have to worry about dinner, and then just go sleep at the property and leave around 11 the next morning.

Yesterday, the boys young men's leader Aaron Smith, texted the group and said they didn't have anything planned and were just going to meet at the church to plan future activities. I know it's a bit silly of me, but I kind of thought that was lame for a beautiful summer night, so I offerred for the Deacons to come here and do yard games and smores.  We had our games of spike ball and axe throwing and the trampoline etc, but Jack Stephenson brought over a game called cross net and it was so stinking fun. Somer and I actually went on a walk around the lake during most of it, but we got back around 8:15 and so we joined in on the fun and everyone ended up staying till like dark (9:45). I can't even tell you how much I love to be active, be outside and be with friends. Josh Wrathall was here too and he's just great. We had a great time with the Deacons and i'm just so glad it turned out so well!

The kids had a great time and I am just so incredibly grateful for our life and our future and our beautiful amazing children. They are my everything and are such good kid. I'm so proud of them. I'm also so grateful for the gospel in my life. I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and Savior lately, and i'm glad for it.
