June.21, 2022

Life has been going well. It is summer time and we are enjoying the warmer weather, even though it's been a super bipolar spring/summer so far and we still have cold days.

Thomas is doing well at work. He works at American Construction and Concrete Supply now. He is a front sales manager. He should be getting a raise soon. He has done really well learning and growing and is second in command every day. His boss really appreciates all of his hard work and people skills. I knew he would do great and he is. However, I hope one day he can start another business and do something he truly loves.

I am really working on finding a good balance with routine, work and kids this summer. I'm working on a morning routine so that I can get a lot of things done before the kids even wake up. I had a lot of back troubles in april/may, but i'm doing good now so I am starting to work out more again. I really do enjoy working out and it's nice to get that done with the sunshine out and before the kids wake up. The last few weekends we have gotten a lot of work done in the yard and outside. My yard is finally looking nice, and we have gotten so many things organized, thrown out and working well now. We got the chickens and bunnies all set up in the back corner of the yard and the kids love having the animals.

We are excited to get going on our house soon. Right now we are approved and everything, we are just waiting to get access to our funding so we can start paying for things and getting the ball rolling. Plans are finalized and i know we are going to need to start making a LOT of decisions. First starting off with windows and what kind and design we want. We also need to decide on a garage door asap. I guess those two things are SUPER backed up and take months and months to get them.

The boys went to Young Mens camp a couple of weeks ago. It was a Stake camp. They had a really great time. I missed them and worried about them. It was my first time sending my kids away somewhere and I constantly wondered if they were okay, while simultaneously knowing they were just fine and doing well. The hiked, they went horse back riding, swimming and had a lot of fun doing work out competitions.

Layton was so cute. One of the first things he said to me was like "my testimony literally like doubled". I'm glad they were able to have fun and also increase their testimonies and have a spiritual experience.

Leah is staying up way to late, sleeping in way too late and also living her dreams this summer. She just plays with her friends constantly outside. Unfortunately, the Roberts (they live in the green house across from us) are moving tomorrow, so that means Kaya won't be out and about running around in the neighborhood. We will miss her. I actually let Kaya spend the night here last night, as a last "goodbye" for the girls. It's almost 9:00 am right now. I've worked out, made the bed, showered, got ready, journalled, tidied the house and the kids are all still asleep. Anyway, I gotta go get some work done! I would love to try and keep a better record of our days and life.
