Uplifting Experience 5- The Penny Jar

A couple years ago  when we were in Utah for Christmas Thomas' grandparents asked us to drop by before we left on our way home. So we dropped by, and they gave us a jar full of pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters. She handed it right to me and told us how proud she was of us. She teared up as she told us how much they wanted us to have it. There is probably a solid fifty bucks in there. They saved it all year long and out of all of their grandkids they gave it to us. We felt special. They gave us another full jar over this last thanksgiving. We love and appreciate them and their thoughtfulness.

Thank you, Kayla, for sharing these not-so-small blessings from your life. It is a timely reminder to me to see the good in every day and look way beyond the moment's struggles.

I am excited for you to have your parents back in country. I hope you get to see them soon. Please give them a huge hug from me and tell them how awesomely they raised their children!
