January.26, 2026- Hawaii!

 Today is the first day of our vacation to Hawaii. We stayed the night at Cole and Carrie's on the Sunday before and then Cole took us to the airport at 4:30 Monday morning. We made our flight and were on our way at 6:30 am. Everything went smoothly with our flights. We had a layover in Las Vegas, and then flew straight from there to Hawaii. It was pretty good. We all just watched movies, and read and wrote etc. 

We landed and got our luggage and stepping outside into the Hawaii air was wonderful! It was about 1:30 there time when we got there. We took some pics, enjoyed the humid warm air, and then got our rental car and loaded up. Then we headed to the North Shore where our Airbnb was. We stayed on Laie point and it was a great little Airbnb. 

The kids LOVED seeing the ocean. We stopped on our way to the Airbnb at a beach with the China man hat rock formation. The kids wanted to get in the ocean, so they changed in the car, got their snorkel stuff and Kasen and Leah snorkeled and swam! It was honestly a little chilly that day (to me), Over cast and a bit rainy, but putting my feet in the sand and watching the kids play was so fun. I just loooove the beach so much. 

After we played at this beach we headed to the Airbnb, got unpacked, and then went out to Laie point. That place is one of my favorite places in the world. We kid explored, and it's as just so awesome to share this with them. They checked out everything, we watched the waves for a long time and just spent time at the point. Then we went to Seven Brothers for dinner. Everyone LOVED it. We enjoyed dinner and then just hung out the Airbnb, got some groceries, organized our rooms and I think maybe watched an episode of Lost that night! 

We were so grateful to finally be in Hawaii!!! Gosh we love that place!
