I haven't been the best at journaling lately, but that's okay. Just doing my best. Friday night Thomas and I went to Home Depot to get some things for the flooding issues that we are having at the Dove house. Then we came home and I made home made pizza that actually turned out really good.  We went for a walk, and just were busy.

Saturday morning we left the house at 7 and took Layton to his Teton Dam 10K. He did really really good and placed 4th overall. He got a 37:57 time. It was fun to watch him and be in that environment.

We got home around 10:30 or so, and honestly we just spent the rest of the day working and playing. The garden is all planted, everything is looking so good. The pumpkins, lettuce, potatoes, zucchini, kale are all coming up and even some dahlias!

The boys had a group of friends over, they played cross net, card games, we got pizza and they floated the dry bed, then they played more cross net, and did a fire and s'mores. They had a wonderful time and a lot of fun, and I'm so glad that they planned it all and had a great night with friends. It was one of those moments as a mom that I use had such overwhelming peace and happiness. Just to be able to have a home and yard for my kids to have friends over and play.

It was a wonderful day and I'm so grateful. I ended the day with 26k steps though, which tells you just how much I was goingggggg......

Sunday was nice. I got a wonderful nap. We had Creed Alexa and Brady over. It was good to see them all. We visited, and after they left I was almost headed out the door to go for my outdoor walk for 75 hard, but then Emily and Jake showed up. They brought us cookies and then visited a while. They didn't leave till almost 9:30 which left it being really late for me to still go do my 45 minute walk. Thomas was the best and came with me, which was so glad because it was so dark and I think I would have been scared without him. ha. So grateful for this life I get to live.
