I love birthdays and making them special for others. But this year we got home from our trip to Canada on the boys birthday so between unpacking, driving, catching up on tons of homework, cleaning out the van and being exhausted from 3 days of driving we basically did nothing. Fortunately I had gotten a couple of dollar store presents for the boys before our vacation so at least I had something to give them.
They got a super hero puzzle and little wood cars that we put together and painted.
We didn't even have cake... oh well.... we had it at other people's houses. Hopefully next year I can do something a little more planned and exciting.
